Covid-19 Update
In light of the ongoing worldwide health crisis, we would like to reassure both new and existing Couples that we are doing our utmost to support you during this difficult period. We have already assisted several Couples in rescheduling their special day to a date that they feel more comfortable with and we will continue to work with our Couples as the situation continues to evolve.
We successfully and safely hosted weddings in 2020 and very much plan to continue hosting Weddings going forward, restrictions permitting. We are continually monitoring the special measures for travel and group gatherings and will ensure that our Couples are aware of all of the relevant details they need to make informed choices about their Wedding Day.
It’s natural to have questions about your Destination Wedding and we’re here to make your experience and planning your day enjoyable and stress free. Below is a selection of the most common queries that we receive. If you cannot find the answer that you’re looking for, please reach out to us so we can clarify and allay any concerns that you may have.
Q. Which documents do we need to bring to Rhodes for our wedding?
A. You will need to bring a variety of documents with you. Please note, this is just a guide and more details will be sent to you once you have booked.
We want to ensure you are clear about everything throughout the whole process, and are here to help you in as many ways as possible, all we need from you is to provide the required documentation and information.
Q. All my documents are in English, do I need to get them translated into Greek?
A. All of the above documents will need to be translated into Greek. which we will arrange for you.
Q. Do we need any witnesses?
A. Yes, as in the UK, two witnesses are needed for all weddings. If the couple wish to travel alone, we can arrange our wedding co-ordinators to act as witnesses.
Q. Which language is the ceremony conducted in?
A. The ceremony itself is conducted first in Greek, and then repeated in English.
Q. How long do we need to be in Rhodes before the wedding day?
A. We recommend that you arrive at least 2 days before the wedding, but there is officially no set amount of days.
Q. How far in advance can we book our wedding with you?
A. There is no time limit to arrange your wedding.
Q. Are there any particularly busy times of the year or venues?
A. Generally the busiest time of the year is end of May (Half Term) beginning of June and end of August going into September. The busiest venue by far is St. Paul's Chapel.
Q. What is the process of confirming the date and time of our wedding?
A. Upon initial contact with us, we will check availability of your suggested date(s). Once a time and date has been agreed and we have received your deposit then confirmation will be made.
Q. When do we pay for the wedding?
A. Upon booking, we require a 250 Euro deposit (non refundable). The balance is payable upon arrival or before, if you prefer.
Q. How will the wedding co-ordinator help us?
A. The wedding co-ordinator is on hand to help you throughout the whole process.
Q. Are you able to help us with extra services if we have booked our wedding with another company?
A. Subject to availability of our suppliers, yes.
Q. Are there any hidden costs?
A. No. All of our packages clearly state what is included. Any other extras that you may wish to have, prices will be confirmed with you before booking them.
Q. Is Happily Ever After a local company?
A. Yes. Happily Ever After is part of the Lindian Collection which is a family run business in Lindos and Pefkos.
Q. Do you only refer to British couples?
A. No. We are happy to arrange weddings for all nationalities.
